Summary: Three teens venture into the abandoned Monroe estate one night; hours later, only two emerge from the burning wreckage. Chloe drags one Reznick brother to safety, unconscious and bleeding; the other is left to burn, dead in the fire. But which brother survives? And is his death a tragic accident? Desperate self-defense? Or murder?
Chloe is the only one with the answers. As the fire rages, and police and parents demand the truth, she struggles to piece together the story of how they got there-a story of jealousy, twisted passion, and the darkness that lurks behind even the most beautiful of faces…

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I have to say, I really did like this book! At first, I thought it was going to be a sequel to Dangerous Girls (you can read my review of that by clicking here), with more of what went on after the trial, but instead, Dangerous Boys is a story all on its own.

Chloe has aspirations to get out of her small country town, go to a big college, and see the world. However, all of her plans come crashing through the roof when her father drops the bombshell of all bombshells--he's leaving her mother for another woman, another pregnant woman, whom he fell in love with on a business trip. Furthermore, Chloe's mother spirals into a deep depression and Chloe gets to watch all of her dreams of a successful future zip out of the window as her main concern becomes taking care of her mother.

Then it gets good, and we meet Ethan and Oliver.

Can I first just say that Ethan is totally sweet and swoon-worthy, and he's the ultimate boyfriend. He may seem a little needy and whiny at times, but overall, I feel like he was a good match for Chloe, insistent where she wasn't, and he was a good thing for her when she was constantly struggling with money and her mother and the disappearance of her dad. A welcome distraction. A welcome, gorgeous, distraction.

As for Oliver...I can't exactly conjure up the name of a specific book character that he reminds me of, just that his cold and stiff and above-everyone-else character was a complete polar opposite from his sweet, caring younger brother. Oliver is everything Ethan isn't--sneaky, calculating, and incredibly cunning. Most importantly he's dangerous. He makes it clear that he has interest in Chloe. Very clear. And when he does, she doesn't exactly run to tell Ethan.

So what is she supposed to do? Who does she choose?

After a shocking turn of events, Chloe winds up in the hospital in shock, one of the brothers goes through emergency surgery that it isn't believed he'll ever come out of, and one brother's corpse is left burning at the house.

Only Chloe knows all of the answers. So the question is, who is who? Which brother is fighting for his life in the operating room, and which brother lost his in heat and ashes? And, more importantly, how does Chloe tie into all of this?

This was an enjoyable read that I finished in less than a day, because Haas managed to capture my attention up to the very end. It's a good read with some steamy romance and some pretty chilling thrills that I recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of suspense and mystery!

Thank you again to Rachel and Abigail for allowing me to read an Advanced Copy of Dangerous Boys, and I can't wait to see what else Abigail Haas has in store!

PLEASE NOTE: An ARC of Dangerous Girls was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. The author and her agents did not persuede any part of this review in any way, nor did they see this review before it was completed and published live. All thoughts expressed are entirely my own.
