This Weeks Theme: Books to Pull You Out of a Reading Slump
I seem to always find myself in a reading slump after I finish a good book. I always feel like what I just read could never compare to the others. So along with books that pulled me out of reading slumps, these are also books that put me into reading slumps because of amazing they were.
1. November 9 by Colleen Hoover
5. The Art of Losing by Lizzy Mason

Turtles All The Way Down and Restore Me (that whole series, really) look good to me- I want to read those. Maybe Mara Dyer too since I've heard good things.
ReplyDeleteTurtles All The Way Down is on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteLots of books I just discovered here in your list. :)
Colleen Hoover often gets me out of a slump too! Fab list. My TTT
ReplyDeleteI was a fan of Garcia's paranormal books, but man! Her contemporary books are even better. Glad to see November 9 up there. I think it gets a bad rap, and Turtles too. That ending was stupendous. The Art of Losing is queued for later in the year for me, but I am looking forward to it. TiFoS is one of those book, which made me ugly cry, but I also found the way Gus lived his life quite beautiful. I FINALLY have I'll Meet You There, and have it on my TBR for when my review books slow down. I am very excited as it's been lauded by like everyone.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I've read a lot of these! The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer got me out of my reading slump only to put me back in one haha, but the book was so amazing it was worth it!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! You have some amazing books on here!

Awesome list; I have a few of these on my TBR, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAll Your Perfects looks like one of those books to read when you've read too much dark dystopian fantasy and need something light for a change.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much about the amazingness of Colleen Hoover's books! I'm really excited to read her stuff! Happy Tuesday! :D
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many good thing about Colleen Hoover. I haven't picked her up yet, but can definitely see the appeal.
ReplyDeleteI remember just TEARING through Mara Dyer when I read it! It was a really intense reading experience and I can totally see it being an anti-slump kind of book.
ReplyDeleteJohn Green’s books can get me out of a slump. I like that they’re hilarious and meaningful at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I haven't read CoHo before but a lot of people have recommended that to me!
ReplyDeleteColleen Hoover has been on my TBR for months! Her books look fantastic but I haven't gotten the chance to pick one up yet. I can see how they would pull a reader from a slump, though! Great list!

Yes to the John Green! His books are so great to refresh my reading habits since they are cute, yet though-provoking and quotable, yet short. I won't say that they are necessarily "light" reads, but they always get me back into the groove of thinking and reading. I haven't read November 9 yet, but it is waiting for me on my shelf the next time I find myself in a slump!
ReplyDeleteTessa @ Crazy for YA
Great list! Most of these are actually still on my TBR, though I have read (and loved) TFIOS and really enjoying The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, too (I still need to finish that series!).
ReplyDeleteInterest list. I've only read the first Mara Dyer book but quite enjoyed it. :D
ReplyDeleteI have yet to read some of this books, so I'll take note
