Summary: Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it. Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve. Determined to save all the Neph from their dark lives as the influencers of sin, Anna joins forces with Kaidan to overcome the demons’ oppressive ways. In the light of her affections, Kaidan must undergo his toughest test of all, a battle of the heart.
Okay. It's only appropriate to start off this review with a huge, fangirl-esque scream. Because that's the sound I made when I found out that Amber and I won an ARC copy - the first ARC copy - of Sweet Temptation, the final book in the Sweet Trilogy (Although it's now no longer a trilogy because it's the fourth book, right??). It's the same sound I made when the book came in the mail, when I picked up this book and finally began it on the plane, and when I finished it and didn't know what to do with myself afterwards. So, yeah. Lots of fangirl screaming.

Sweet Temptation, for those who don't know, is a three-part book. Each of the three parts is a retelling of one of the trilogy books - Part One was Sweet Evil, Part Two was Sweet Peril, and Part Three was Sweet Reckoning. But this time, everything is told from Kaidan's point of view. And boy oh boy, does it get steamy. *heart eyes*

Note: This is NOT the kind of book you want to read in public. Not at all. (Lesson learned there...*awkward cough*) Another note: It's best not to read this review unless you've read the Sweet Trilogy. Otherwise, some things may get spoiled!

I LOVED this book from Kai's point of view. I was able to see his struggles (starting from his relationship with Anna down to dealing with the Dukes themselves). Surprisingly, sex wasn't the ONLY thing on Kai's mind most of the time. (A majority of the time, yes, but not all of the time.)

When Kai first admitted he loved Anna, it ends up shocking you more than you would expect, because he does NOT first come to terms with it when Anna thinks he does. I won't give you guys the juicy details but I definitely recommend you picking up this book and finding out!

My favorite part of this entire book was the wedding scene in Part Three (from Sweet Reckoning) from Kai's point of view. Call me dirty, crazy, or whatever the heck else you want to. I don't really care. Because this part was my absolute FAVORITE. Kai wasn't all geared up for sex the entire time...the entire scene showed how nervous and excited he truly was to marry the love of his life. Seeing how much Kai really loves Anna and doesn't just use her for her body was super touching and adorable.

However, there WILL be a lot of blushing with this book. A lot of super-sexy stuff goes on, because the son of the Duke of Lust is bound to have some pretty dirty thoughts! Do NOT read this book in public. You'll be blushing all over the place and barely be able to form coherent sentences. I promise you.

All in all, Sweet Temptation was a sexy and feels-shattering book that left my fangirl self a mess. Wendy Higgins did an excellent job of retelling the Sweet Trilogy from Kai's point of view. There was not a single solitary thing about this book that I didn't love. Wendy definitely made me sigh for Kai and I'm still not ready to come to terms with the fact that the series is truly over. Nothing I didn't like about Sweet Temptation - and that's SUPER rare for me. Pick this book up RIGHT NOW, I'm telling you, you're going to love it!!

I have the first 3 books sitting on my shelves, they come so highly recommended... and yet I still haven't read them. Just seeing that this one got 5 stars from you makes me want to grab the first book and start marathoning the whole series now! :)
